General Hospital Spoilers: Curtis Is Trina’s Father — And It Changes Nothing For His Marriage to Portia

General Hospital spoilers hint Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) may not have thought his future as a father had really begun yet, but he’s about to find out otherwise. Knowing that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) knew for the duration of Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) life that she may have been Curtis’ child is enough for him to keep a safe distance from his new bride. They’ve yet to even consummate their marriage and he’s busy thinking about dipping his toes back into his last one.

Curtis is all over the map, torn between women — and careers. But one thing has remained constant: his care for Trina. When the DNA test confirms Curtis is a dad, he’s going to take his commitment to Trina very seriously — and his commitment to Portia, far less so.

Finding out Trina is his daughter is going to be a dream come true for Curtis, but it’s devastating for Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), though he won’t show it.

General Hospital Curtis will do his part to avoid twisting the knife, but he’s not going to pretend he isn’t over the moon to be sharing Trina with her dad. That being said, he’s not exactly thrilled about the idea of sharing her with her mom.

Portia might see it differently, since she’s long been looking for a reason to get closer to the husband that wants nothing to do with her. It’s not going to pan out the way she had hoped though.

GH Spoilers – Reveal Divorce Is On The Horizon

Curtis is ready to cut ties with Portia. It’s been over three months since their wedding day and they aren’t a bit closer to reconciling.

In fact, while Portia has been patient and thinking she’s been giving Curtis his space, he’s been moving on with his life and hardly has her on his mind anymore.

When he does, he’s just angered by her secrets. The truth that Trina is his daughter is a nice way to finish this story and wrap it up in a neatly tied bow, but he can’t see himself trusting Portia with his heart again in the same way. From here on out, they’ll be the co-parents of a beautiful young lady he adores.

With divorce in the mix, it stands to reason that Portia won’t be able to make sense of Curtis’ seemingly sudden change of heart. Sure, she knew he wasn’t ready to come home or talk about making things work, but he wasn’t talking about an exit strategy either.

She thought more time was all they needed to heal this wound. As it turns out, Curtis isn’t nearly as interested in fixing his current marriage and he is interested in his last one.
