Now, the best shot they have at getting Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) back home to save Willow’s life is if Drew keeps flying under the radar. Carly won’t like telling him to stay away, but she won’t be lonely while he’s gone either.
Did Nina just seal her daughter’s fate all because of her own sick need for revenge? That thought should keep her busy with self-loathing for a while. Realizing how perilous the situation is, Nina is going to hope and pray that the SEC aren’t able to track Drew down.
In the meantime, she’ll also be praying Sonny never finds out it was her who turned Carly into the SEC. Moreover, if Willow and Michael find out, that would be the end of them ever reconsidering letting Nina into their lives.
She’s got a lot riding on this, and her heart might be swept up in so much regret and sorrow that she won’t even see the signs that Sonny is drifting further away from her — and closer to Carly.
When Carly left the Q mansion in a police car, Sonny stuck around long enough to make sure the dust settled, but he knew the best place he could be of help was at the police station — with his ex-wife.
He came in quite handy when he was able to create a diversion for the police to go looking for Drew on the wrong side of the globe.
Carly wasn’t thrilled with Sonny inserting himself into the situation to be her savior, but it’s still comforting to know they are a family unit when push comes to shove.
Nevertheless, it seemed to make her uncomfortable that he went out on that limb for her and Drew. Speaking of Drew, Carly knew she may never see him again when she bid him farewell as he headed off to Greenland.
Now, she’s going to give him a heads up that it’s not safe to come home. But secretly, she might be hoping he takes his time as she remembers how well she and Sonny work together in a crisis.
When Sonny is under attack as well soon, Carly will be the best person to come to his aid. With Drew halfway out of the picture, they’ll both be left vulnerable and in need of support.
Who better to turn to than each other? As old wounds heal, it’s easy to see Carly and Sonny falling back into their old ways. Although Nina may be the current apple of his eye, it’s no secret that Carly holds a special place in his heart.
So when Sonny learns that Nina has betrayed his entire family and gone behind his back to try to hurt Carly, he won’t hesitate to get rid of her.
As they both end up with nothing but trauma and free time on their hands, this could quickly escalate into the reunion we’ve all been waiting for.
Will they couple up again if Drew doesn’t return? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
