General Hospital Spoilers tease Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) had no idea what she was getting herself into when she reached for a bottle and struck a blow to the back of Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) head. She was just defending her gal pal, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). She had no idea at the time that Mason was any enemy of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard).

When they put two and two together and realize they share this enemy, it won’t phase Carly, but Sonny isn’t going to settle for Mason’s idle threats toward his ex-wife.

Mason’s head is probably still throbbing from the clobbering Carly handed him with that beer bottle. He might not know who that woman was who came to his rescue, but he’s certain to figure it out soon.

There is no other reason for Carly and Olivia of all people to have come across Mason unless they’re going to learn about their individual connections to Sonny.

He’s at the center of this, and when Mason puts Carly in his sights, it will be Sonny who ensures that he comes to regret it.

Currently, Ava Jerome (Maura West) is relying pretty heavily on Sonny to get her out of the mess she’s made for herself.

She had no idea when Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) seemingly rode to her rescue the night she allegedly killed Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) that she would end up wrapped up in blackmail and needing Sonny’s help to get out of it.

They’re so close to catching onto who Mason is running back to with every shred of information Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) picks up on him that it would be careless to botch the whole plan at this juncture.

But if that’s what Sonny has to do to keep Carly safe and send a message about those seeking to mess with his ex-wife, then that’s what he’s going to do.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome Won’t Be Celebrating After All

Someone should have warned Ava not to count her chickens before they were hatched. She’s going to end up awfully angry with Sonny if he throws the baby out with the bathwater to protect Carly over her.

In fact, such an act of betrayal on Sonny’s part could lead Ava straight to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and ready to help her overthrow Carly for good.
