Michael has been trying to get evidence on his father that would send him to prison for some time now. He enlisted the help of Dex Heller (Hofer) to infiltrate Sonny’s organization and get evidence against him.
It looks like Michael finally got what he was looking for, but at what cost?
After Sonny left Michael’s mom, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), most of the family was angry with him. But Michael took his anger to another level. He completely cut his father off and wanted nothing to do with him.
Some time has gone by and many have softened towards the mob boss, even Carly herself, but not Michael. He seems to get angrier and angrier with his dad every day.
Willow is suffering from leukemia and awaiting a bone marrow transplant. While looking at an uncertain future, she told her husband that it is important for his sisters to have peace between him and Sonny. For his dying wife, he made the grand gesture of inviting his dad to the wedding (only if he attended without Nina).
Did Michael’s confession push his wife over the edge?
On the night of the “Millow” wedding, Dex reported to Michael that he was finally able to get the evidence on Sonny that they needed, although Dex appears to be having some second thoughts.
For some reason, the groom thought this was a good time to tell his new bride the whole story. He came clean about his plan to trap his dad. He thought his dying wife would be happy about this information on their wedding night, even knowing she wanted peace in the family.
Before Willow could voice her opinion, she passed out and was rushed to General Hospital, where things look pretty grim.
Things seem to be wrapping up on the Haunted Star. The cavalry has come in and Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) prisoners will soon be back in Port Charles, including Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). She should make it in time to donate her bone marrow to her great-niece and save her life.
All should be right with the world. The love of Michael’s life will be okay and the happy couple can go on to live their lives and raise their two children together.
But there is that pesky little issue of Michael trying to get Sonny sent to prison. Right before Willow fainted, she looked obviously upset about Michael’s plan to take down his dad. As sweet as Willow may be, she has no problem speaking her mind. This may cause the first rift between the lovebirds on General Hospital.
Then there is Carly. She normally thinks Michael can do no wrong, but he may have gone too far. She doesn’t want her ex in prison, especially now that he helped keep Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) away from the SEC by making it look like he was headed to Hawaii.
Has Michael gone too far this time? Will anyone on General Hospital have his back? Keep watching to find out.
