General Hospital Spoilers leak that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has been an ever-present force in Port Charles history, particularly when it comes to the intriguing weather machine storyline. As that plot once again takes center stage, Laura has found herself in the thick of the action yet again. However, rumors abound that this tale may mark Laura’s final bow on the soap.

Recently, Laura was caught in a particularly dramatic moment, having to recall decades-old information to shut down the revival of Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) plan before her beloved hometown turned to ice. Now, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is headed to be put on ice — or at least refrigerated in the morgue. Are Laura and her family truly safe now that he’s out of the way?

Somewhere out there lurks Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), in a coma, receiving medical treatment he didn’t consent to after a brush with death at the hands of his ex-wife, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West). Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) has been tending to Nik in his vegetative state, but who is ordering him around. Could Helena still be the ‘boss lady’ pulling all of these strings — Victor’s included?

GH Spoilers – Tease That Weather Machine Though…

Laura was lucky to have memorized that formula some forty years ago, but that doesn’t mean they’re completely in the clear. A small snow shower in May was enough to give a few people pause in Port Charles, but most of them wouldn’t even remember the havoc that Mikko planned to rain upon the town years ago. Laura does though, and at some point she’ll have to hand that torch over to her grandson, Spencer.

Will he be the next in the family to go on and fight these battles? Rumor has it he and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) are the next Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura. Will it be up to him from here on out to make sure Port Chuck is never iced over for the Cassadine’s to skate upon?

Of course, in a world where even Helena could be alive, that means Mikkos could be, too. What if Victor was working with his brother again all along — and only ventured to that bunker as a means of bringing him back? Is it possible Mikkos survived and is just waiting for the right time to make his presence known?

Could Helena have detained him all of this time, leaving the reins to Victor — who has only just died and left Mikkos in control? If any of these allegedly departed Cassadine souls are still walking the Earth, Laura and her family are most definitely not safe.
