General Hospital Spoilers: Are Austin And Ava The Exciting Couple We’ve Been Waiting For?

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) may be the exciting couple fans have been craving.

Many recent GH couples are a snooze-fest: Michael and Willow Corinthos (Chad Duell and Katelyn MacMullen), Brooke Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), and even the once-exciting Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), have all become dull and stale.

Fans have been longing for General Hospital to step it up and give us the fun, exciting couples we love.

They may have finally found it with Ava and Austin.

General Hospital Spoilers – Has General Hospital Finally Found A Place For Austin Gatlin Holt?

The character of Austin, not the actor, didn’t seem to have a place at GH. They tossed him into a few storylines but nothing stuck. This left fans wishing for a Franco Baldwin (also Roger Howarth) return.

When Dr. Holt found Ava with the body of her husband Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), it looked like things may finally pick up.

It has been slow-moving, but we see a different side of the doctor with the good bedside manner. It seems like he is more trouble than the residents of Port Charles previously thought. It remains to be seen if Austin is running from a very dark past or is still involved in something very sinister.

This guy may have a story after all.

GH Spoilers – Pairing Austin Gatlin Holt And Ava Jerome On General Hospital

Austin set it up to look like Ava’s daughter, Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) was kidnapped. After initially being terrified, Ava realized what her partner in crime had done. He tried to scare her into believing how ruthless his creepy cousin Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) could be.

She was furious but, typical for Ava, her fury turned to passion, and the two slept together. She claimed it was a mistake and threw her guest out the door, but the co-conspirators probably do have feelings for each other.

This was finally a good move by GH writers to give Dr. Holt an exciting storyline. This couple will be a lot of fun to watch. Whether he is scheming with Ava or against her remains to be seen.

General Hospital Spoilers – What If Nikolas Cassadine Makes A Return

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is in search of her son Nikolas. She believes he is in Chechnya and went there hoping to find him. Whether he is there or not, he is still alive, in a coma, but still alive.

It is only a matter of time before Ava’s ex returns home to Cassadine Island. She may not forgive him for everything he did, including sleeping with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), but Nikolas doesn’t give up and may try to win Ava back anyway. This will create a war between him and Austin.

There is drama whenever Ava is around, so hooking her up with the good doctor will give Austin the excitement he needed.
