General Hospital Rumors: Jason Morgan Returns For Dex Reveal

General Hospital spoilers hint Jason Morgan is headed back to Port Charles, to meet his son Dex Heller (evan Hofer).  Since Dex arrived in Port Charles, general consensus was he was mobster Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) son.  However new GH rumors hint that fans were close, but not quite right, Dex is actually the son of presumed dead hitman Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

No one stays dead in soap opera, especially General Hospital.  It was never really a question of IF the writers would bring back Jason Morgan, but WHEN they would bring back the fan fave.  And, what better reason to resurrect a character from the dead than to lure him back to Port Charles to meet his long lost son.

General Hospital spoilers have always hinted that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been lurking in the shadows or frozen in a bizarre sci-fi Cassadine crypt, waiting to be melted and unleashed.

The idea of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) dating her step-brother has always been a little yuck.  Sure, they don’t share the same DNA, but if Sonny Corinthos knew Dex when he was younger, then they would have been raised together by Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and her husband.  If Dex is actually the son of Jason Morgan, that may still make things a little awkward for Carly, but definitely wouldn’t be giving viewers kissing-cousins vibes.

GH Spoilers – Jason Morgan Recast Coming Soon?

Since leaving General Hospital over controversial vaccine requirements, Steve Burton has moved on and joined the cast of Days of Our Lives.  If we do see the character return to GH in 2023, it will most likely be a recast.  Steve Burton had legions of loyal fans, so TPTB did not even consider recasting Jason Morgan and sending fans in to a furious frenzy.  But, enough time has passed, it may finally be safe for the network to reintroduce Burton’s old character with a new face, similar to the Billy Miller saga and Drew Cain story that aired a few years ago.
