Lauren Swickard is the real-life wife of Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase). She debuts on Monday, August 7 in the recurring role of Janice, one of the nurses at Ferncliff.

Ferncliff is the facility in which Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) is being treated.

Sasha has had another break with reality, but this time it is at the hands of her evil legal guardian/MIL Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs).

Gladys has a gambling problem and it’s not a winning situation, she’s a perpetual loser. She needs to remain Sasha’s guardian to have access to her cash in order to pay off the monster mobster running the games, Selina Wu (Lydia Look).

Gladys hatched a scheme with another one of the poker players, a doctor, to medicate Sasha so that she would appear unable to take care of herself thus keeping Gladys in charge of everything.

It worked, too well. Sasha is at Ferncliff because she stabbed Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) thinking he was Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) who had gotten her hooked on drugs in the past.

On Monday, August 7 ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith returns as Brick, Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) security chief.

Smith is a sports journalist who is branching out professionally, with his role on GH, a new book, and other creative irons in the fire.
