She wants a divorce now from Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) who’s already returned to Chicago, so he is no longer a factor. Sloan argues with Xander when he wants to drop or amend the suit, becaus

Sarah had softened towards Xander when she encountered Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) and knew she was alive, and Xander hadn’t killed her, as she’d supposed.

She was ready to give Xander their daughter to hold and reconcile with him until Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) called her about Xander’s suit for sole custody.

DOOL Spoilers – Sloan Petersen Won’t Back Down From Her Stance

Xander doesn’t understand why Sloan won’t back down from her stance, of proving Sarah unfit and citing her and Rex’s fraud in Victoria Margaret Horton Brady’s (uncast infant) paternity.

Rex isn’t even in the picture anymore with Sarah trying to fast track the divorce, since they don’t have grounds for annulment. Rex and Sarah had lived together like they were man and wife for the whole term of the pregnancy so an annulment won’t work.

With Rex out of the picture, Xander fails to understand why he can’t change the custody suit and why Sloan thinks Sarah has to be proven unfit-that practically ensures that he and Sarah can’t raise her together.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – How Can They Make This Work-He Can’t Withdraw?

Xander is perfectly willing to withdraw the custody suit if Sarah will work with him to raise their baby together, even if they don’t reconcile fully for the time being. But Sloan says that once the suit is filed, it’s written in stone and he cannot withdraw it-he wonders if she worries she won’t be paid!

Xander has had a job working for the Salem Spectator which he can keep working if need be, so it’s not like he’s unemployed.

Sloan seems to think that Sarah will only change her mind and abscond with the baby, perhaps going back to Rex if the suit is withdrawn. Xander insists that she won’t, although he can see where there a pattern would be perceived.
