DOOL spoilers reveal that Stephanie and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) spoke about Chad. Stephanie admitted that one day, she could see herself marrying Chad.

When Chad walked in, he overheard Stephanie’s admission. Even though Chad tried to play it cool, it was the elephant in the room.

Later, Stephanie tried to do damage control. Stephanie explained that she was talking about marrying Chad someday, not right now. That is when Chad said that he wanted to keep things the same. Stephanie agreed, but kept her disappointment to herself.

If Steve pushes Chad to propose to Stephanie, it could backfire. Instead of Stephanie getting her dream marriage, Chad could break off the entire relationship. Of course, that would lead Stephanie into Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) arms.

That could lead to friction between Stephanie and Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien). So, there are a lot of storyline possibilities if the soap writers take the heartbreak route.

Of course, Steve and Kayla will feel terrible if they are the reason for Stephanie’s broken heart. At the same time, a simple conversation shouldn’t be enough to drive Chad away, so we shall see.
