Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) knows Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) secret-the one about altering a DNA test. Sloan feels like Melinda is a gal pal now, but can she trust she won’t tell EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) or Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) that it’s really not EJ’s baby?

Anyone who knows Melinda very well knows that trust and Trask aren’t compatible-Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) caught her recording him on their first blind date. And yet the foolish man goes on a few more dates with the district attorney, worrying his sister Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace).

Sloan barely knows Melinda outside of opposing her in the courtroom, perhaps her pregnancy hormones are making her more trusting and more naïve-perhaps more lonely for female companionship.

That does make a lot of sense for Sloan to want a woman friend in her life-she’s pregnant for the first time and doesn’t have a mother or sister.

The only problem is, she doesn’t know Melinda well enough or long enough to put her trust in her-and she’s confided a secret that could get her prosecuted for fraud!

Who knows what Melinda might tease out of Sloan in her apparently vulnerable condition-they both know better than to talk about cases, but they can talk about clients.

At the moment, Sloan doesn’t have any big pressing cases she’s working on that Melinda might be prosecuting, but in Salem one never knows who’ll be in trouble next.

She’s already gotten some juicy details about Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) getting sole custody of Rachel Black (Finlay Rose Slater), Sloan having heard through Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). It is refreshing to Melinda to know that Belle Black (Martha Madison) lost a case.

Secrets don’t always stay secrets, and especially in a smaller town when just about everyone knows each other. You tell one person and maybe they already know the secret, and by the time it gets around the circle it usually gets convoluted.

Convolution of her secret might be Sloan’s only hope if Melinda blabs, because Nicole gets some shocking news-about her and EJ’s DNA test?

If by the time it makes the rounds it’s all twisted and convoluted, Sloan can sell the story that it was a misunderstanding. And if it does, she knows exactly who started the vicious game of gossip, and she’ll know she can’t trust a two-faced “friend”!
