Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) will secure a new position. With Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) out of the running, will EJ be the new Salem DA?

Melinda messed herself up royally when she chose to date Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) a man that she had attempted to prosecute.

The two of them had recorded each other unawares and basically were spying on each other for their own ends, and Paulina Price, (Jackée Harry) now the acting mayor fired her.

Salem has been without a district attorney now for several months, with court cases backed up because of it.

The assistant district attorney isn’t really cutting it and crime is ramping up in Salem. Paulina needs to find a competent district attorney to take over as soon as possible.

DOOL Spoilers – EJ DiMera Has The Experience, Although He’s – A DiMera!

EJ does have experience as an attorney, although not as a district attorney-however, he has held public office; he was a former mayor of Salem.

The district attorney is an elected office, but Paulina can appoint him to finish out Trask’s term, and if someone isn’t appointed courts will back up years.

Then, when the term has run out, he’ll be up for election as in any public office-Paulina isn’t thrilled that she has to hire a DiMera, with no one else available.

Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) is totally out of the question and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) has left town, and she doesn’t have a lot of options.

She hopes that he has some good in him from his mother’s side, even though he’s been accused of some crimes-he’s never been proven guilty.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Can EJ DiMera Run DiMera Enterprises And Be DA?

When EJ is approached about taking an appointment to finish out Trask’s term, he’s a tad blindsided, and he’ll have to brush up on his law books.

He hasn’t practiced law in quite a long time although he still retains his law license, and wonders if he can still run DiMera and be DA at the same time.

He can’t see there would be any conflict of interest, but he would be spreading himself thin -who can he trust among the DiMera family to run the family legacy?

It will be quite a bit to juggle but EJ accepts Paulina’s proposition and readies himself to get up to snuff on the cases he’ll be needed to prosecute.

Salem is ready for a new district attorney after literally years of Trask, who has made it her mission to arrest half of his family!
