Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that if there is one work to describe Chanel Dupris (Raven Bowens) it might be “Entitled”. From the moment she arrived in Salem, it was apparent that she was given everything by her mother Paulina Price (Jackie Price). Paulina had attempted to cut Chanel off after seeing how spoiled her daughter was, but Chanel simply found other ways to maintain her lifestyle.

Years ago, when Chanel was in college, she had an affair with one of her married college professors. When the man’s wife discovered the affair, she lured Chanel to a remote rooftop and confronted her.

During the ensuing scuffle, the Professor’s wife fell to her death from the rooftop. Chanel wasn’t charged and Paulina used her money to sweep the entire thing under the rug. Chanel was able to continue living her life.

But the woman who died had two children whose lives were changed forever because of Chanel’s indiscretion with their father. Sloane Peterson (Jessica Serfaty) arrived in Salem first.

She tried to have Chanel and Paulina arrested, but Belle Black got all the charges dropped. Sloane then tried to sue Paulina and Chanel in civil court but all the charges were dropped. Sloane’s brother Colin Peterson (Jasper Newman) has taken on a much more hands on approach to revenge.

Colin is much more dangerous than Sloane. He may even try to harm either Paulina or Chanel physically. Of course Colin is wrong, violence is never the answer. But the whole experience may finally make Chanel and Paulina realize that their actions do have consequences.

Chanel may have been taken advantage of by Sloane and Colin’s father, but that doesn’t mean Chanel is guilt-free. Perhaps this is exactly what Chanel needs to grow up a bit.
