Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) should be enjoying the early stages of a new relationship. The duo dated for months and finally took a major step in recent weeks by moving in together.

Unfortunately, that bliss has been derailed by the fact that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) moved in directly across the hall from the couple. This is problematic for several reasons. Most notably, Alex and Chad are business rivals. In addition, Alex and Stephanie used to date.

Over a year ago, both Alex and Stephanie moved to Salem to be closer to their families. Before he met Stephanie, Alex was a womanizer.

He preferred casual relationships with women with no strings attached. But all of that changed the moment he met Stephanie. He decided right then and there that he was in love with her.

Although Stephanie was initially more interested in Chad, Chad was still mourning the death of his wife Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). So, Alex and Stephanie began dating.

Stephanie and Alex got along very well, but Alex was still jealous of the time Stephanie spent with Alex.

The night that Alex and Stephanie decided to make love, Alex decided to turn Stephanie’s phone off. Because Stephanie didn’t receive a call that night, she missed a very important family crisis.

Alex felt guilty and he told Stephanie what he had done, and she dumped him on the spot. By then, Chad was ready to move forward with a relationship, Stephanie and Chad began their own relationship.

According to DOOL spoilers, Stephanie and Alex eventually made peace and remained good friends. But Alex is still very much in love with Stephanie. And now that he lives across the hall from the couple, he has made it a point to show up at the couples’ doorsteps several times.

Chad is furious by Alex’s constant interference while Stephanie is slightly more understanding. As Alex continues to make himself a fixture in their lives, look for Stephanie and Chad to disagree. And the more Alex interferes, the wider the gulf between Chad and Stephanie!
