DOOL Spoilers: Can Eric And Nicole Break Free Of One Another?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Nicole and Eric unable to stay out of one another’s orbit no matter how much they try. But others might be able to distract them.

It always seemed like Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) were end game, but lately, we have to wonder if that is true. For more than two decades, all they have done is make up to break up and hurt one another. One would think other people have gotten in the way of their happiness, but they are usually their own worst enemies.

Eric and Nicole finally married but within days Eric was taking off to Africa and barely saw Nicole for the first year of their marriage. While cheating might have not been the best idea, Nicole was lonely, drunk, and didn’t understand why her husband didn’t seem to want her.

When the truth came out, that ended their marriage and Days of Our Lives spoilers show that Eric took off back to Africa and returned to Salem as a priest once again. After attempting another reconciliation after Eric left the priesthood, Nicole got in their way by convincing Eric’s casual ex, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), to have an abortion.

Now, Eric is throwing caution to the wind with Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and trying to live his best life as Nicole is more cautious as she spends time with EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerrigel) and they become closer. Are these new directions the best bet for them or will they never be able to stay away from one another?

“Nicole is drawing closer to EJ, who is still very much interested in Nicole,” Head Writer Ron Carlivati said in the January 9, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Nicole still feels a pull toward Eric, but by putting her into EJ’s orbit, it ta[sinto that schemy side of Nicole, especially as EJ and Stefan go to war over DiMera and Nicole is sinking her teeth into that with him.”
