DOOL Spoilers: Bryan Dattilo Confirms Gabi Recast, Spills On Lucas’s Future

First off Dattilo spilled some deets about his character Lucas’ upcoming storyline. The best news for Lucas is that he’s freed at the start of the year!

But at the same time, Lucas will not stick around long, so let’s hope we see the character again as the year moves along.

The actor acknowledged that he would like to be back on the canvas, and hopefully the show makes that happen. Even if on a temporary basis, Dattilo affirmed that he is always pleased to return to Salem.

DOOL Spoilers – What Does the Future Hold For Lucas Horton?

Dattilo also indicated that Lucas has upcoming scenes with Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). He wasn’t able to spill any of the juice on that just yet, but this trio sounds very intriguing given their shady pasts. Still, the actor confirmed that he enjoyed the plot points he shares with Braun and Burton.

And, Dattilo also confirmed that there will be a new actress in the role of Gabi Hernandez DiMera (last played by Camila Banus).

This is great news for fans of Gabi who have enjoyed watching the character get into her shenanigans over the years.

While Dattilo didn’t say who has been recast, some fans are betting that it’s Cherie Jimenez who is now following the majority of the DOOL cast on Insta.

That’s a lot of news to digest, and we’re glad Dattilo was able to fill in some blanks for the fans. While Lucas is (hopefully) turning over a new leaf), it apparently won’t be onscreen.
