When it comes to Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan in The Walking Dead, you either love him or hate him. Recently, fans watched The Walking Dead: Dead City season 1, but how many noticed a production error relating to Negan? Shared on Twitter (or is that X?), an image captured Jeffrey Dean Morgan with something he shouldn’t have during a zombie apocalypse.
An image shared recently on social media by TWDU Promos clearly reveals a filming error relating to Negan star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The mistake is clearly reminiscent of another glaring filming error when Game of Thrones featured a Starbucks cup. In that case, the Starbucks cup was spotted in episode 4 of season 8, titled, “The Last of the Starks.”
In this case, it’s not about coffee, but this error could easily go viral as Negan clearly has an iPhone tucked away in the pocket of his leather jacket. Whether he was waiting for an urgent call is unknown, but there is no place for such technology in a decades-old zombie apocalypse.
Meanwhile, two images of Negan were shared with the caption, “JDM has been caught too many times,” followed by a laughing emoji. It seems fans haven’t been too eagle-eyed as this clearly relates to other mistakes on The Walking Dead. However, scrolling through the comments to that post, another fan shared a series of images, revealing the recognizable shape of an iPhone in his pocket.
Fans were thrilled to hear that The Walking Dead: Dead City is renewed for season 2. Clearly, this will bring more struggles for Negan after he is captured by the Dama. He also faces some unfinished business with Maggie (Lauren Cohan).
While it’s likely Negan won’t have his iPhone in season 2 of Dead City, he is definitely facing drama. In fact, the Dama has threatened Hershel’s life if he won’t help her
While Negan won’t be pulling out an iPhone in The Walking Dead: Dead City anytime soon, the show is setting him up for new struggles in season 2. The Walking Dead: Dead City’s season 1 ending saw Negan captured by the Dama, who threatens Hershel’s life if Negan doesn’t help her conquer the island.
As for Maggie, she wants to finish things with Negan, although it is unclear what she has planned. Should she kill him for murdering Glenn, or save him from his fate at the hands of the Dama?
Meanwhile, it is interesting to see the old Negan coming into play in the spinoff, something Jeffrey Dean Morgan was apparently thrilled about. In the meantime, fans will have to wait for The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 to premiere to find out more.
