Did Jinger Vuolo Shade Jill Dillard With Her ‘God-Honoring’ Claim?

Jinger VuoloCounting On fans were excited about Jinger Vuolo writing her book, Becoming Free, Indeed. However, some folks feel that she simply exchanged one cult for another. This week, it was revealed that she decided to write it after she turned down the opportunity to be in Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. On the other hand, Jill Dillard did appear in it. Did her sister just shade her when she talked about “God-honoring?”

Jinger Vuolo – Doesn’t Seem To Publically Support JIll Dillard

Recently, former Counting On star Jinger Vuolo published her book about her upbringing within the tenets of the Institute for Basic Life Principles (IBLP). In the memoir, Jinger wrote candidly about her experiences but stopped short of placing blame on her parents, instead focusing on the impact of the IBLP. Meanwhile, Jill also wrote her own book, Counting The Cost, and she was featured in the Amazon Prime documentary, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Now, it seems that Jinger intentionally distanced herself from the project. Is she now shading her sister?

Jinger Vuolo was all the rage when her book launched earlier this year. Now, the focus shifted to Jill Dillard who was very candid on Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Right now, she’s the flavor of the month because TLC fans admire the courage it took to speak out. Actually, some folks half-expected the Becoming Free, Indeed author would be in the Amazon docuseries as well, but she walked away from it. Instead, she quickly pushed her book out ahead of the series. ,

Jinger Vuolo – Shades Jill Dillard?

Counting On fans saw an extract from People Magazine that was shared by Katie Joy from Without A Crystal Ball on Instagram. The original statement as shared by People said:

I was actually approached and asked to participate in the docuseries, but I thought that from my perspective, I really wanted to make sure that I was able to share my story in my own words and in my own timing…”So that’s why I wrote Becoming Free Indeed, was to share more of my journey out of IBLP’s teachings.”

Jinger Vuolo also added, “I wanted to be able to share it in a way that was, like, God-honoring and hopefully sharing my story in a balanced way.” Picking up on what fans thought was alluding to shading Jill’s participation, one of them, @fundie_mama_snark said, “said, “So she thinks she’s more “God-honoring” than Jill. Oh Jinger, you are so free indeed ??.”:

Jinger Vuolo – What Did Other Readers Say?

Jinger Vuolo might have thought that she is more “God-honoring” than her sister. But, she is also a victim. So, maybe she’ll work things out later if she was shading Jill Dillard. Some people, though don’t like the way JInger presented her book. One of them said, “She wanted to promote John MacArthur’s teachings and she couldn’t do that in the docuseries.”

Another person wrote, “Sounds like words right out of her husband’s mouth. I really used to like Jinger but it is clear she is the furthest thing from ‘becoming free indeed.”
