Did Hoda Kotb Leave The Today Show?

The Today Show staple Hoda Kotb has been missing in action on the morning news show for over two weeks now.  And, fans are beginning to wonder what her status is.

Hoda seemingly vanished from the air in mid February, with no real explanation.  Fans were excited to see her finally return on March 3rd to Today Show, only to learn that the segment interviewing Olivia Newton-John’s widower, John Easterling, and daughter, Chloe Lattanzi featuring Kotb was pre filmed.  So, her “return” really wasn’t a return at all.

Despite all of the buzzing on social media, Hoda Kotb has been pretty silent regarding her personal life these days.  And the Today Show actress hasn’t shared much to go off from when it comes to whether or not she will return, or even when.

Al Roker Talks Hoda’s Hiatus

What’s going on with Hoda Kotb?  Today Show host Al Roker finally addressed his co-star’s absence in a recent interview and explained to curious fans at home, “She’s going to be just fine. She’s dealing with what she’s gotta deal with and all will be good.”

Rokers’s statements came on the heels of Craig Melvin’s announcement a few days earlier, “We know a lot of you have been wondering how she is doing. We can tell you that Hoda is OK. She has got a family health matter that she has been dealing with.”

Did Hoda Kotb Leave The Today Show For Good?

While the details are still pretty vague, it sounds like Hoda is doing okay, it’s a close family member of her’s that is experiencing some health issues.  And, once Hoda Kotb returns to the Today Show, and it definitely sounds like she will be returning, the Today Show host will most likely give her viewers and loyal fans a little more insight on what is going on.
