Demanding Letter Meghan Markle and Harry Wrote To Struggling NYC School Revealed

It turns out the Duchess of Sussex has very particular needs, even when she’s visiting a poor and struggling school in NYC.

Sorry, school children, Meghan’s got to have her cushions and carpet so Netflix cameras don’t capture her without the right aesthetics. Here’s the lowdown on the Daily Mail exclusive that’s currently driving conversations online.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Wanted Their Visit To Harlem School To Have An Aesthetically-pleasing Atmosphere

Remember when Harry and Meghan stopped at a school in Harlem on day two of their royal-like tour of NYC?

The released images was nothing short of sweet. Little children on green carpets, the Duchess sitting a little ways from them and reading her children’s book “The Bench.”

Well, to get the aesthetically pleasing shots, a lot of strings had to be pulled, and yes, they involved a carpet and new cushions.

Harry and Meghan’s press team were careful to make the visit not look “promotion-y” and at the the same time substantial enough to hit it big on Sussex-friendly papers.

The pictures that emerged shortly after the duos’ visit saw the children sitting on the grounds of the school at P.S. 123 in Harlem.

Some of the shots captured Harry sitting on the green carpet with the second-grade students while Meghan read to them.

This happened on September 24, 2021 – a year after their exit from the royal family and a couple of months following their bombshell Oprah interview.

At the time, they were being tailed by Netflix cameras for the filming of their six-part docuseries, which premiered in December, 2022.

Harry and Meghan were not going to be leaving their reputation to chance, so they got their high-powered aides to pull some strings behind the scenes to ensure they were presented in the best possible light as they filmed their $100 million Netflix content.

It read in part: “I agree that without the prior written approval of (the) Producer, I shall not discuss this Appearance Release, the Material, the Project itself, or my participation therein with any third party prior to the initial exhibition of the episode of the Project in which I appear.” The document banned those who signed it from posting about the filming online “now or in the future.”

The document stated: “I agree to not make negative, derogatory, or otherwise unfavorable statements about, or otherwise denigrate or disparage, any of the Released Parties.”

NYC Schools press secretary, Danielle Wilson, then warned that the children cannot be featured in any event that was “promotional.”
