Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Xander Kiriakis’s Paul Telfer Reveals A Secret From The Set

Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note that Xander Kiriakis will have some heavy few weeks ahead. As he waits to see if Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) accepts his marriage proposal, he’ll also hear news about the passing of his Uncle Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). On top of all that, he’s still yet to learn that the “love of his life” Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is pregnant and carrying his child!

Sounds like Mr. Kiriakis has plenty of challenges that lie ahead; however, his portrayer, Paul Telfer, recently revealed one that he deals with on set.

A Twitter fan recently asked Telfer if there is ever confusion when characters and actors share the same name (i.e. if Paul is on set at the same time as actor Christopher Sean’s character, Paul Narita, is there potential for a mix-up on which “Paul” someone is referring to).

Telfer tweeted and acknowledged the fan was right, and the “name game” can be a headache, at times! Not only when it comes to character and actor names, but character names in themselves!

He referred to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), then also pointing out that the actor that plays Leo Stark is also named Greg (Rikaart).

Paul Telfer also notes there are multiple Johns and Pauls on and off the screen and a number of Marks, Steves, and Matts on the Days crew!

At least they don’t have to worry about confusing Stephen Nichols and his Steve Johnson character too much, as both names are pretty similar, right?

Soap opera actors don’t have it easy. With a busier filming schedule than their primetime colleagues, they are constantly shooting scenes and learning lines.

Now, thanks to Paul Telfer’s tweet, fans get an insight into the struggle of keeping both character and fellow actors’ names straight!
