This question was brought up among the Days of Our Lives fans. The user Blondie18 posted on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards: “Who was the love of Victor’s life? Was it Caroline or Maggie? Or someone else? I personally think it was Caroline.”

The DOOL fans flocked to the thread to share their thoughts. Most of them were split on Caroline Brady (Peggy McCay) and Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers).

One fan wrote: “Caroline. The love of Maggie’s love was Mickey.” Some believe that Maggie loved Mickey Horton (John Clarke) more than she loved Victor.

One user noted: “I couldn’t agree more! Been watching Days and who knows who belongs with who…I think it changes every single time.”

Another fan noted: “The writers are saying that Victor was the love of Maggie’s life so I guess it isn’t Mickey to them.”

A fourth argued: “Caroline. He loved her for decades. He stopped pursuing her after she told him she belonged to Shawn. But he never stopped loving her.”

The Days of Our Lives fans believe that it was Caroline. They don’t think Maggie was as deeply in love with Victor as she proclaimed.

She loved Mickey for a long time. Somehow, the couple would always wound up together. They would be each other’s one who got away.

Did Maggie love Victor? Yes! But he wasn’t the love of her life and it doesn’t matter. They loved each other and were committed to each other.”

Some DOOL fans are disappointed that Sarah Horton (Lindsey Godfrey) called Maggie the love of Victor’s life, where it’s clear where his heart stood.

While Victor was a great love in Maggie’s life, he wasn’t the love of her life. However, the Days of Our Lives writers did pay their homage to Victor and Caroline with their montage.
