Steve Johnson, (Stephen Nichols) John Black, (Drake Hogestyn) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) make a decision for death to Orpheus (George DelHoyo) after losing their wives. They decide on an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth type of justice in their rage and grief. Kate Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) son Lucas Horton (Bryan Datillo) becomes the vehicle to accomplish the assassination of Orpheus behind bars.
Orpheus has been constantly digging at Lucas and trying to push him off the wagon, knowing he’s an alcoholic. This may be the perfect way to end Orpheus’ reign of terror, possibly through Lucas giving him a hair of the dog that’ll kill him.
Meanwhile, Kate, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will find that they’re not actually dead, but they’re not in an earthly place either. They will encounter various people who they think died, but seem to be some sort of demonic spirits playing a cruel masquerade.
They have already encountered who they think is Susan Banks, (Stacy Haiduk) Adrienne Kiriakis, (Judi Evans) and Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause). Then Nick Fallon (Blake Berris) appears and tells them someone has sold him their souls-perhaps they’re all in comas and hallucinating?
Arianne Zucker, who plays Nicole Walker will celebrate her twenty-fifth year on the show in February and there will be a flashback episode visiting Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) and her past. There will be a walk down memory lane and of course Eric is such a huge part he must be included. ‘Ericole’ fans should enjoy this episode.
This special episode should air on or around February 27, the date in 1998 when she first appeared. Nicole Stella Walker has been married several times to several different men, but she and Eric always seem to get back together.
And then, there’s Chanel Dupree, (Raven Bowens) Johnny DiMera, (Carson Boatman) Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson). This sometime triangle that keeps changing partners amongst themselves will rapidly keep changing in February. Allie and Chanel are on a break due to Allie’s insane jealousy over seeing her with Johnny, who’s both her twin brother and Chanel’s ex-husband. At the same time, Chanel and Allie have had threesomes with Alex, and now he’s having twosomes with Allie.
There will continue to be distress and mess as Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) sticks to her divorce guns with Xander Cook, (Paul Telfer) who goes back to the dark side. Xander has already hooked back up with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and they decide to strike back against the Deverauxs. Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) who makes a Valentine’s Day visit will find themselves without a paper to run when Xander and Gwen steal the Salem Spectator!
To make things even worse, they hire Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) as their gossip columnist. The Salem Spectator may as well change its name to the Peeping Tom!
Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) will continue to evolve as a couple even as he continues to get over her cousin Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). Alex will continue to try and insert himself back into Stephanie’s path, hoping for forgiveness and a second chance, even as he’s “meeting needs” with Allie. Chad will tell his little ones he and Stephanie are dating and have a family fun time for Valentine’s Day. As for Alex, he’ll continue to-be Alex.
Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) will find their budding romance receive a cease and desist when the Salem City Council adds a new policy. This non-fraternization policy forbids people in city agencies and departments from dating their superiors and they have to put a halt on their mutual attraction. They find this to be increasingly difficult considering the close work they constantly do together.
Jada’s little sister Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) comes to town also, and in spite of having a medical degree applies for a job at Sweet Bits. That brings with it a mystery that will need to be unraveled.
There will be plenty of continuing DiMera dysfunction in February as EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) lock horns. They both like to be in charge and each think they are supposed to be the top dog at the family business. Brotherly love has no place between two powerful men locked in a power struggle. Family feud turns to brother against brother in a dangerous escalation.
Johnny finds himself involved in two triangles, one with Allie and Chanel and the other with Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams). Tripp was attracted to Wendy from the moment they met in Beyond Salem, as was Joey Johnson (Tanner Stine). But now Joey’s seeing someone else and tells Tripp to go after Wendy.
Johnny and Tripp already found themselves at odds because of Tripp’s mother being responsible for the death of Johnny’s grandmother. Now they’ll be fighting over Wendy.
Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) and Gabi Hernandez’ (Camila Banus) marriage actually did get past the I do’s before it turned into a she don’t. Li will fight against giving her a divorce because that’s the only card he has in this game. Gabi, on the other hand is adamant the divorce is granted because she’s hot to become Mrs. Stefan DiMera again.
This will continue to be a battle between the two former lovers the rest of February. Gabi will fight against Li as much as she’ll fight for Stefan.
