DOOL spoilers reveal that Alex was fired by Maggie after botching the deal with Yuri (Josh Flagg of Million Dollar Listing). Even though Alex did his best, Yuri didn’t want to deal with anyone but Maggie. At the same time, Alex should have just given the client what he wanted and contacted Maggie.

However, Alex has been a problem ever since Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) put Maggie in charge at Titan Industries. Even though Alex has been trying to be a better man and employee, he keeps screwing up. Maggie warned Alex that this deal was his last chance. This deal was vital and crucial for Titan Industries’ future, so Maggie felt she had no choice but to fire Alex.

During the week of May 15, Stephanie comforts Alex after the termination bombshell. Stephanie knows how much Alex tried to prove himself to Maggie. Stephanie also tried to help Alex when the meeting with Yuri went awry.

In fact, Stephanie could approach Maggie and explain how the deal falling through wasn’t entirely Alex’s fault. However, Maggie is probably unlikely to hire Alex back. At least, Alex won’t get his job back right away.

The only reason they broke up is that Alex was responsible for Stephanie missing the moment before Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) died. Now that Kayla is alive, Stephanie’s anger toward Alex has disappeared.

So, when Stephanie comforts Alex, could a spark reignite? It’s possible, but Alex is working really hard to be a better man. Alex ended his intimate arrangement with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) after getting therapy from Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

So, Alex might surprise Stephanie by rejecting her. Alex might even tell Stephanie that he cares about her too much. That certainly would be a 180 for Alex. However, it would make sense since Alex is clearly in a transformation phase of his life.
