Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers hint that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) will continue to struggle with Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) exit from the little town. Ms. Arnold recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about Allie leaving Salem and her time on the Peacock soap opera.
DOOL Spoilers – The Days Set Truly Feels Like “Family”
During her SOD interview, Arnold reveals the incredible environment that the Days set offers. She notes, it feels very much like a family. The actress goes on to say that she truly cares about all her co-workers and the soap opera itself. In fact, Lindsay states that working with Raven, Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera), Lucas Adams (Tripp Johnson), and Victoria Konefal (Ciara Weston) was a highlight, and these people aren’t just colleagues to her, but her very best friends in L.A. now.
With that said, what were her favorite storylines while on Days for the past three years? Arnold cites playing the Devil as the most “fun” and “creatively fulfilling”. This is interesting as she was involved in some major angles, with one being a young woman who became pregnant as a result of being raped. However, Arnold points out that her devilish role was entertaining because it wasn’t so “heavy” as the other plotlines she worked on. She knew there wouldn’t be any crying involved during her stint as Satan.
DOOL Spoilers – Saying Goodbye To Salem What Her Choice
In addition, Arnold states that it was her choice to exit the show. When her three-year contract was up, she had an epiphany that it was time to say, “goodbye”. It just felt like the right time for her. Lindsay says that time on the DOOL helped build her confidence in acting and bring her out of her shell. She’s grateful to have worked alongside so many talented people whom she learned so much from. Since exiting the show, Arnold has been on auditions, which she now has the “freedom” to do. But the question on every Challie fan’s mind is, would Allie ever return to Salem? Arnold notes that she believes the door is always open, and she’d love an opportunity to “pop” back into the land of Salem every once in a while. Lindsay ends the SOD interview by thanking fans for all their support and love over the years.
