Jack stands his ground when Gwen refuses to comply with his demands. Gwen is a grown woman, and no one is going to choose her friends for her. Parents are supposed to have unconditional love for their children. Jack claims to love Gwen and accept her for the person she is. Jack even believed he had a new understanding of Gwen after she covered for Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain).

Apparently, Jack has a different definition of unconditional love than Gwen does if he can walk away so easily. Gwen believed that after all this time, she and Jack had connected on a higher level. Gwen truly felt that her father had accepted her. Will Jack really walk away from Gwen if she refuses to testify again the man she loves?
