DOOL spoilers reveal that characters come and go all the time in soaps. Sometimes, actors will return for multiple stints. Eli and Lani were series regulars until both actors decided to leave the soap. It came as a surprise for “Elani” fans. Then, Eli and Lani’s exit story was written, which included one going to prison.

Eli is coming back to Salem. Thankfully, Archey is sticking around for several episodes. The actor told Soap Opera Digest that Eli is in Salem for about a month. So, Eli’s return will be more than just a brief appearance.

DOOL Spoilers – Multiple Story Arcs

Eli is already joining Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter’s (Elia Cantu) investigation into Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) disappearance. Nurse Whitley King’s (Kim Coles) scheme will just get more tangled. For one thing, Eli and Rafe presume Abe is dead.

This is due in part to Jerry Prentiss (Terrell Ransom Jr), who tells the police that Abe’s photo fits the description of the man who fell. However, that is a lie and when Jerry runs into the real Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson), he will be riddled with guilt.

Eli will also be part of Rafe and Jada’s secret romance storyline. Maybe Eli can help Rafe and Jada get the workplace dating policy overturned. After all, it’s not like Salem has a whole lot of detectives to battle villains like Orpheus (George DelHoyo), Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) and Megan Hathaway DiMera (Miranda Wilson)!

Eli will also worry about Paulina, who dips into a deep depression following Abe’s death presumption by the police. Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) could get roped into Eli’s orbit through other characters and storylines, too.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Eli mentioned Lani is due to get released from prison in about six months. However, it is confirmed that Lani returns to Salem on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

DOOL Spoilers – How Long Is Lamon Archey Staying?

For fans who are wondering how long Eli is sticking around, we have an answer. Lamon told Soap Opera Digest,

“I got to work with Susan [Seaforth Hayes, Julie Williams] and Bill Hayes (Doug Williams)… Of course, I have scenes with the wonderful Jackee as well. And I got to work with Gaeln and had some scenes with Elia. You’re definitely going to see us doing police work. Any way Eli can help out with the investigation, he will. He’ll also give his two cents on the attraction he sees between Jada and Rafe.”

The actor added that the storyline keeps Eli in Salem “for about a month or so.” It is expected that Lani and Eli will go back to Washington DC together. However, it is a soap, so anything can happen!
