Gwen knows that Leo does not trust Dimitri. Leo has been trying to find out the truth about Dimitri’s intentions for Gwen. Leo has believed that Dimitri was plotting with his mother Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson).
Leo knows that Megan has been trying to find a way to carry out her devious plans. Leo has found out that Dimitri wants to marry Gwen to be able inherit his family’s vast fortune. Leo had decided to confront Dimitri about wanting marry Gwen in order to take control of the Von Leuchsner fortune.
Gwen does not know that Leo has been able to uncover the truth about her engagement to Dimitri. Leo wanted to keep Dimitri from marrying Gwen. Leo did not anticipate the response that he would get from Dimitri.
Leo was shocked that Dimitri started to come on to him. Leo tried to keep his distance from Dimitri but Leo could not stay away from Dimitri.

Dimitri believes that his family would not accept him getting married to Leo to inherit the Von Leuchsner fortune. Dimitri wants Leo to keep the truth about his true feeling for him from Gwen because he wants to be able to take control of the Von Leuchsner fortune.
