When Sloan ended up pregnant, audiences believed a baby switch storyline might be on its way, if Petersen miscarried.

Sloan ended up doing just that, but with Eric by her side, there was no way she could lie about not losing their baby, fake the rest of her pregnancy, and swap out her little one for Nicole’s.

However, announcing that adoption could be an option for the couple certainly opens up a window for this type of arc.

DOOL Spoilers – Could Sloan Petersen Do The Baby Swapping Or Someone Else?

The scenario could go like this: the couple finds a young expectant mom looking for parents to adopt her baby.

This baby will likely be due in and around the same time Nicole delivers hers. What if the mom is sketchy? What if she’s not pregnant, but has pulled this scam before?

Maybe she’s lurking around Salem, unbeknownst to Nicole and everyone else, ready to pull off a baby switch scam so she can come into money or something along those lines.

Then again, the couple could find a pregnant teenager who miscarries, and Sloan convinces her to keep quiet.

Petersen manipulates the girl into this scheme, and she “delivers” on the same day that Nicole does.

Somehow, the shady lawyer is able to pull off the switch, with Walker being told she’s had yet another stillborn baby.
