Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Camila Banus Joins Another Soap?

Days of Our Lives comings and goings spoilers shocked fans earlier this month when it was revealed that Camila Banus was leaving the NBC soap opera.  It’s still unclear if DOOL will recast Gabi Hernandez in the future, or how the character will exit.  There’s still time for some exit fireworks seeing as how the soap opera films several months in advance.

After news broke that Camila Banus was leaving Days of Our Lives, the actress revealed that it was not her choice to leave.  Apparently, she was shot down during contract negotiations and Banus and DOOL could not come to an agreement.  It certainly wasn’t Camila’s decision to leave, and it’s not far-fetched to think that she may be in the market for a new gig at another soap opera.  After all, the girl’s gotta eat!

The Days of Our Lives actress has always been vocal about her appreciation for working on soap operas and having consistent work.  And, any of the remaining three soap operas would be happy to have her.

We definitely get General Hospital vibes from Camila Banus, and could totally see her popping up in Port Charles in a leather coat and giving bad girl Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) a run for her money.  There are definitely some hunks in Port Charles that would make a hot match for Banus.

There’s also a chance that Camila Banus could head over to the remaining CBS soap operas, The Bold and the Beautiful or The Young and the Restless.  It’s generally more common for former DOOL stars to head to ABC, but any network and soap opera would be lucky to have the former Days of Our Lives actress.
