Counting On News: Josh Duggar Appeal Denied

Counting On fans are relieved to hear that the 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals denied Josh Duggar‘s appeal this week.

His conviction on child pornography charges will stand and that means he will now serve his sentence through to 2032.

Counting On – Josh Duggar Remains In Prison

Appeals take time and the case involving Jim Bob Duggar’s son took time. In fact, it’s been about 14 months since he was convicted, and only now, is his appeal decided.

Josh’s legal team filed an appeal and a federal court scheduled a date for oral arguments. In the meantime, he sat in Seagoville Prison.

As far as TLC fans know, Anna Duggar is still totally in denial that her husband could have done anything wrong. The former Counting On star does sit at the center of conjecture and rumor.

However, there’s very little coming out on where she really stands with her husband being in prison. For her, the denial of the appeal could mean it’s time to make some big personal decisions

Counting On – Denial Of Appeal For Josh Duggar

4029 TV reported out of Fayetteville, in Arkansas, that “A federal appeals court rejected Josh Duggar’s appeal of his conviction on child pornography charges.” The article also noted that this means: “[they] affirmed a federal jury’s finding that Duggar was guilty on charges of receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.”

When Katie Joy of Without A Crystal Ball shared the news on Instagram, Counting On fans reacted in the comments. Because it essentially means that Josh must now serve his full sentence there is some relief. However, others still think that just over twelve years isn’t long enough for his crime.

TLC Fans Comment

Counting On fans who saw the post on Instagram took to the comments section. one of them opined, “He should never be allowed out. That kind of perversion is so dangerous and the experts say it usually doesn’t go away.”

Another follower wrote, “Good! Still isn’t long enough of a sentence if you ask me.”

Similar comments followed, and people seem angry about it. However, the courts decided his term and now he will serve it. As far as people are aware, he didn’t actually create the videos himself. Naturally, people do fear for their children. However, they are in the custody of his wife Anna, and she seems to be keeping them close, out of public scrutiny.

What are your thoughts on Josh Dugar losing his appeal to get his sentence overturned? Are you happy that he will now serve his time in prison? Let us know in the comments below,
