TLC’s “Counting On” alum Jill Dillard’s memoir, “Counting the Cost” published by Simon & Schuster, will launch in January 2024. The book is anticipated to share Jill’s life experiences, including her battle struggles with growing up under the tents of the Institute of Basic Life Principles, (IBLP). Until very recently, her sister, Jinger Vuolo who authored “Becoming Free Indeed” was silent, but she finally reacted to the news.

Jinger Vuolo’s memoir “Becoming Free, Indeed” catapulted her to instant bestseller status as fans were drawn to her rather sad story. Meanwhile, Jill Dillard, together with her husband Derick made a name for themselves by standing up to her father Jim Bob Duggar. Her new book will be released in January next year. Conveniently, The announcement of her memoir came just before the premiere of Amazon’s “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets” docuseries.
“Counting On” fans waited for Jinger Vuolo’s reactions to her sister Jill Dillard’s upcoming book. Actually, they also waited for her to comment on JIll in the Amazon docuseries. Until now, it seems that she was silent with little news anywhere. Finally, she made a comment. And while it wasn’t much, her sister reacted with joy.

On June 5, People Magazine reported an interview with Jinger Vuolo, wherein she addressed why she didn’t participate in the “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets” documentary. Jinger revealed that she had been approached but declined as she preferred to tell her story in her own way. During the conversation, Jinger mentioned her sister Jill by saying that she had spoken to her about the docuseries. Additionally, the former TLC star revealed her excitement to hear what Jill had to say in her upcoming book.
Well, it didn’t take long for the new “Counting On” author to react. Taking to her Instagram Stories on June 6, Jill shared a screenshot of the article. In her response, she said, “Thanks for the love, sis!” Further down, she added, “And yes, acknowledging for yourself the actual harm in a group like that is the first step in finding your voice. Next, she wrote, “Secondly, realizing the degree to which people are still being harmed gives you [the] courage to use your voice to help others.”

While fans of “Counting On” may have hoped for Jinger to say more, at least she shared a positive comment. Jill, who fans believe is not very close to her sister, appears thrilled that they can use their joint experiences to help others stuck in a cult-like environment.
