When the former USA Network star told her fans that she was going to New Zealand, she didn’t give them the exact destination. Notably, people who know the country noticed that she didn’t select the best clothes for the trip considering it’s winter there. Well, she made sure to get the fire going in her hotel when she finally reached her destination. She shared that she’d gotten the temperature up high enough to feel comfortable.
Actually, it was a really long flight, and she passed through Sydney, Australia. The Chrisley Knows Best star mentioned her dad at the time, and said that she ate some takeout in remembrance of her dad back in prison. Well, she probably felt really tired by the time she made it to New Zealand and wherever she is currently staying. It can be a really bad flight for jet lag. However, the flight had something about it that she liked.
When Savannah booked her accommodation, she didn’t reveal the town or the place where she stays. Actually, judging by the photo of the sunset, it could have been almost anywhere. The two-Island country is full of mountains and/or ocean views in every direction.
The Chrisley Knows Best alum raved about the food in New Zealand, and apparently, it’s way tastier than American cuisine. She told her followers, “I have traveled to multiple countries and have realized that food in The UNITED STATES of AMERICA tastes fake!” Then, she also talked about the best part of her long-haul flight.
Chrisley Knows Best fans who have not done a very long-haul flight might not know that the time zones and flying into the future can mean a day gets lost on the calendar. For example, as of writing this article, it is 20:30 PM in Tennessee on Monday, May 19. But in Wellington, New Zealand, it is 1:30 PM on Tuesday afternoon. So, it makes sense that Todd’s daughter seems happy to have lost the 18th which was Father’s Day.
When Savannah shared a message that she’d sent about her flight, she pointed out that she boarded her plane on “the 17th.” However, she arrived in New Zealand on “the 19th.” Because New Zealand is about 17 hours ahead of Tennessee, she literally lost a day, (the 18th) as she jetted her way into the future.
Talking about missing her dad on Father’s Day, (18th) she said, “God saved me from the hurt this year.”
Did you know that flying to New Zealand from the USA can make you lose a day? Of course, when the USA Network star returns, the reverse will apply as she flies back in time.
