British Royal News: Prince Harry Thanks Oprah Winfrey, Chris Martin And James Corden For Their Support In Writing Spare

Maybe it was a little too late to edit this out. British Royal News says that rather than acknowledge his own family members, Prince Harry thanked some very random people in his book, Spare. And by random, he mean Oprah Winfrey, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and controversial late night talk show host James Corden. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Matt Wilkinson, who is a royal correspondent for The Sun, he wrote on Twitter, “More on Spare: No members of the Royal Family are mentioned in the acknowledgments at the back of the book but there is room to thank (among many names) Oprah Winfrey, Chris Martin and James Corden for “their unwavering friendship and support.”

Needless to say, it didn’t take very long for his fans and his followers to comment on the matter. Many of them responded with, “In fairness he is a born again Christian and is noted for being extremely kind to everyone he meets. I wouldn’t read too much into this. I suspect he’s probably very worried about Harold,” along with, “The Sussexes are nothing if not true to type. This is the wedding guest list once again with the blushing bride’s family forgotten to make way for celebrities.”

Another critic wrote, “So strange, just like Tyler Perry being godfather. Love TP but no close friends or family on Meghan’s side of family or Diana’s? These two are very self absorbed and obsessed with celebrity.”

And then there was this comment, “Well James Corden is obviously not the jolly, cheeky person he presents himself to be. And I think Oprah’s star has fallen considerably with all her dark ties and endorsement of this lying duo along with her BFF Gayle. But Chris Martin? Very disappointing indeed. That tells you everything. He is surrounded by CELEBRITIES. Celebrities don’t have friends and they definitely don’t support you unless there’s something in it for them.”
