While currently, fans of many shows are disappointed as the Writers Guild of America (WGA) writers strike for fair pay and other issues, others are supporting them. In fact, Bob Odenkirk, is known for his roles as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Moreover, the actor and comedian has been Emmy nominated several times for his role.

Now, the famous actor has revealed that he stands in solidarity with WGA writers during their strike. In fact, he shared a photo on Twitter, posing in the picket line, backed by protesting writers. His short and to-the-point caption reads, “Let’s do this.”

Odenkirk has supported WGA writers before

While late-night and daily shows stay off the air, Odenkirk joins the WGA writers in demanding better pay. In fact, the strike has been ongoing for a week now, demanding a decent, higher wage.

Meanwhile, another image on Bob’s Twitter feed reveals that he was also at the WGA strike in 1988. That strike became the longest in WGA history, as it lasted for 153 days. Due to his continued support, it is clear the Better Call Saul star will continue to stand with them during the strike. Sharing a post by That Week In SNL, Odenkirk added the caption, “Let’s get it right…again!”

Odenkirk most recently starred in Lucky Hank, a comedy series on AMC. In the series, he plays the titular Hank, a college English department chair suffering a midlife crisis. He further starred in The Bear, a critically acclaimed FX series, where he plays Johnny and which returns with a second season this summer.

It is no surprise that the actor supports the WGA writers, as it was them that brought the stories he plays to life. Whether in movies or TV series, Odenkirk’s fame could only have happened through the best writing. Let’s hope the strike is over soon, but only if it has the desired effect on the writers’ pay.
