B&B Spoilers: Will Ridge Play Softball Once He Learns Of Eric’s Condition?

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that Eric Forrester (John McCook) has not shared the information about his arthritic condition with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). But he felt comfortable doing so with RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) because his grandson was willing to listen to him.

Eric believes that Ridge was dismissing his continued importance at Forrester Creations. That is partially true, but Ridge did not know about the seriousness of his father’s known condition or what it may be related to.

Eric decided to step back from the day-to-day affairs at the company he and the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) co-founded.

Doing so led to Ridge and then Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), taking the helm.

Ridge believed his dad was pleased with the result because the company had never been in a better position financially.

Fashion is a highly subjective business. So, to remain one of the top houses in the world is impressive, especially in this day and soapy age.

But Eric recently decided that he needed to produce one final line and that took Ridge by surprise.

Eric realized that the arthritis he has been dealing with prevents him from being able to sketch freehand. That is where RJ’s importance was written into the storyline.

The recast of the RJ character opened various possibilities, with this one being creatively intriguing. His open-hearted nature and connection to the tech world provide the right combination for Eric.

So, McCook’s character asked his grandson if he would help him to design. RJ was motivated to develop the talent his dad has been encouraging him to explore. While initially reticent, Eric’s need opened the door.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Ridge Forrester Has An Opportunity

Some people never learn why those they are close with experience demeanor changes. Others thankfully gain that knowledge with enough time to spare. Ridge remains perplexed at Eric’s sudden need for relevancy.

The opportunity the teased reveal of Eric’s condition offers is for Ridge to develop his attitude. That will likely be challenging because of Eric’s sense of pride in what he represents for the family and in the fashion industry.

Kudos to TPTB for crafting an interlinked story that presents the complex issues of aging and how multiple generations and families deal with it on B&B.
