She has been trying to will herself away from the increasingly intrusive thoughts she has been having about Thomas. But the emotions he has stirred are proving too strong to wish away.

Years went by with the focus being on Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) loving Hope and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). That dynamic has been shifted, with Hope being in the middle. Liam and Thomas are tugging at both sides of her heart.

There is no doubt that Hope loves Liam. She has for years. Their daughter, Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza), represents an eternal bond between them.

It is too soon to say that Hope has fallen in love with Thomas. Currently, romanticized thoughts of him have created an idealized fantasy in her mind.

Liam’s tell to Hope, about trouble brewing, was a veiled threat. He warned Hope to beware of the danger Thomas represents to their marriage.

No longer naive, Liam was made aware of his wife’s apparent feelings for Thomas. While Hope believes Steffy wanted to cause trouble, that is not true.

Steffy felt she had to share her suspicions. They were based on multiple observations over a few months. Liam was warned so he could hopefully avoid major marital problems.

Consider where Thomas was when he returned from New York with Douglas following Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) death. Atkinson’s character was single and looking for someone who could play a maternal role in his son’s life.

Today, Thomas reestablished his position as Hope for the Future’s signature designer. All is well with Douglas and his other family members.

But Thomas has not allowed himself to believe the rumors are true. Rome projects as the setting where Hope will let him know what she is thinking. That is a great soapy setup on B&B.
