Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) put his wife through a lot. He caused her strife by reserving part of his heart for Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Hope told Thomas that Steffy was always part of their relationship, which gave the viewers more insight into why Noelle’s character has taken this specific action. Part of the draw to Thomas is based on Liam’s distaste for him.

Thomas’ draw is that he is not Liam. Until recent months, that contrast caused Thomas to be a human repellent. Now, he is overwhelmingly attracted to her.

It is fair to question the logic of this storyline and its timeline. But suspending disbelief is part of the soap world. So, viewers who are willing to do so will swallow it as long as the resulting tale is compelling and does not become even more exaggerated.

Having Hope become pregnant with Thomas’ next child would be believable. That would also set this hard change in direction on a new course that would offer plenty of plot for years to come on B&B.
