B&B Spoilers: Thomas Does The Right Thing, Pushes Hope Away?

The Bold And The Beautiful: Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson)

The Bold and The Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and updates tease Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will do the right thing and push Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) away. She’ll attack him with kisses the second time since Rome, but he won’t let it go any further, understanding how obsession works.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – It’s Not Love, It’s Obsession

It’s plain to Thomas, having overcome his obsession for Hope, that his raging passions for her back then weren’t love. Love is not controlling and it doesn’t insist on its own way in spite of the love object’s wishes-and that’s how he knows what she feels isn’t really love, either.

Obsession, is well, obsessive-and it’s uncontrollable by the person experiencing it and if it’s unrequited, the person obsessed can’t believe the truth.

Thomas does care about Hope and while he could love her in a romantic way, the attraction being there, it’s under control. Hope’s is not and she is grieving the end of her marriage so taking advantage wouldn’t be right.

B & B Spoilers – Hope Spencer Herself Doesn’t Understand

Hope herself doesn’t understand where this is coming from, or else she’s having a difficult time being real with herself-the more the denial, the stronger the obsession. She has been fighting these feelings for months and have tried ignoring, denying, and pushing them down until she couldn’t anymore and they exploded in Rome.

Thomas is probably the last person Hope should be talking to about her feelings and compulsions for him, he should probably refer her to his mother Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen). If Taylor thinks it’s a conflict of interest she can refer her to someone else who’d be a good fit.

However, there is no denying that Thomas understands exactly what is happening and certainly won’t judge.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – No, Stop!

Thomas wants Hope to know he cares but not for her to get the wrong idea, and he knows because of what he went through over her how to respond. She attacks him with kisses again and he pushes her away-but gently and tells her it’s not right under the circumstances. He has to be careful of his wording because he doesn’t want to encourage her or give her any false hope.

He does tell her that he knows that uncontrollable, overwhelming thoughts and feeling are scary and if that’s what’s happening, he understands. But, he makes it crystal clear that what happened in Rome, as she told him on the plane, cannot happen again.
