Hope was the first person to call for Thomas’ return, but Steffy talked her out of it until later reversing her stance. Wood’s character has begun to see that Hope has often forgiven Thomas because a certain level of attraction was likely repressed.

The intense focus Thomas has offered served as a form of flattery. He has been a constant presence in her life since returning from New York with Douglas.

Liam’s faith in Hope is rattled. The audience may be anticipating additional tension between them. That event, or one like it, would likely encourage Hope to seek comfort from Thomas on B&B.
