Taylor works in a building that seemingly has no personal connection to Sheila. So, it is possible she sweet-talked her way past whatever receptionist should have been confirming her identity and purpose for being there.
But how did Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) and his crack team allow Sheila to penetrate so deep inside FC’s fortifications? Plus, viewers saw Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) exit the executive suite, and then a split second later, Sheila slammed the same door behind her.
Suspending disbelief means that one chooses to release logic to accept what comes next. This concept has enabled Sheila’s development for three-plus decades on this soap and since 1990, when she debuted on B&B’s sister show, The Young and the Restless.
Viewers are asked to believe that Sheila made her way into two corporate buildings on the same day. But it is easier to believe she could do so in the first instance because Taylor did not alert security and have Sheila removed and was not seen reporting the incident.
Katie was shocked by Sheila’s entrance. Charlie was seen earlier in the episode discussing safety issues with Carter. So, fortress Forrester should be reinforced.
Katie was shaken after the run-in with Sheila at Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) home. That was the same mansion where she, Bill, and Will Spencer (Finnegan George) raised their young family, with multiple breaks recalled.
Sheila asserted her new status as the lady of the mansion, with Bill’s newfound mesmerized stance towering above the event. Katie was the first to recognize Bill’s shift in demeanor in the recent past. She now knows what factor produced that effect.
Bill is not going to break his tie to Sheila. That reality is a problem for Katie because it means Will is impacted.
Sheila plays great mind games. She told Taylor to forgive herself, with the pure intent of linking that to forgiving Sheila of a similar crime she committed.
But Taylor shot Bill in the back many years ago. Sheila has shot multiple individuals, including Taylor (then played by Hunter Tylo), and also shot John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
The shot into Finn was accidental. It was intended for Taylor’s surviving daughter. The second shot Sheila fired hit Steffy as desired.
The result of Sheila’s visits reinforced that she holds a strong blackmail hand over Taylor and is wielding the weapon of fear against Katie on B&B.
