The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Is Ridge Pushing Eric Out?

The latest issue of Soap Opera Digest shows Eric Forrester on the cover with the caption: “Ridge Vs. Eric.” It included the fall spoilers for The Bold and the Beautiful.

It looks like the father and son duo are competing for control of Forrester Creations. Eric refuses to step down, but Ridge thinks it’s his time to shine.

The spoiler was shared on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards. Some of the B&B fans reacted to what was going to happen.

Most of them aren’t happy about a showdown between the father and son duo.

“For heaven’s sake this show doesn’t know the meaning of the word originality,” one user noted.

“At least it’s not another triangle,” another joked.

Some mentioned that they’ve been looking for more storylines that centered around fashion or Forrester Creations.

However, that doesn’t mean they wanted one that tears the Forrester family apart. It doesn’t make for an interesting storyline, according to some of the fans.

“I’m all for Eric continuing design but I’m supposed to buy that he and Ridge are going to be pitted against each other in some bitter fashion standoff?” one fan wrote.

B&B Spoilers – Time For A Fashion Storyline

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that it’s time for a fashion storyline, which is what the viewers have been wanting.

They just didn’t want it to play out this way. For years, fans have wanted to go back to focusing on high art and glamour.

“I have been waiting for a fashion SL for a while and it’s clear they ain’t bringing on a new fashion house so this is it I guess,” one user noted.

Some B&B fans don’t think this storyline line is believable. Eric is in his 80s, which means he should leave the company on a high note.

He should retire while he’s on top. He shouldn’t have to feud with his son over who’s the better designer.

“The problem is they never give FC a real rivalry on their level. Even the times Spectra has been on their level briefly it’s because Felicia or Ridge were designing for Spectra. They need a rival better than they are,” a user noted.

Others argued that The Bold and the Beautiful should go back to high fashion. Fans will continue to check out of this storyline.

They believe that the family will go back to catering to Eric’s ego. It’s the same tired storyline they’ve done in the past.
