B&B Spoilers: Liam’s Suspicions Mined – Thomas Plays It Differently This Time

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was devastated when Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) allowed herself to be manipulated by Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) once again. And that is how Liam sees it, Hope being naive.

Liam does not recognize that Thomas does more than get inside her head. Thomas appears to be inside Hope’s heart.

Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) recent recognition of Hope’s covered feelings is a sign that a different type of storyline is developing.

Past storylines, since Atkinson became the recast in 2019, have Thomas obsessed with Hope. He committed various amoral acts to pry her loose from Liam.

The new approach has Thomas not needing to play games. Hope was provided with a false choice by Steffy, who faced pressure from her mother to rehire Thomas.

That choice led Hope to grant Thomas a so-called second chance. He reentered Hope for the Future as a preferred savior rather than a returning villain.

B&B Spoilers – Hope Spencer In The Middle

Hope formerly was between Liam and Steffy, a daytime triangle that persisted across many years. But that dynamic ended shortly after John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) appeared.

Noelle’s character loves the son she adopted, Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). The bond Thomas intended to use to maintain contact with Hope continues to reap rewards.

Douglas’ decision to leave the cliff house and return to the cabin happened because his parents settled their differences. Douglas’ place in Liam and Hope’s home reestablishes non-work contact with Thomas. Again, as intended by Thomas from the start.

Thomas does not have to perform any new tricks at this point in the plot because his old ones are working. Hope does not see it that way, telling Liam that Thomas realized the error of his ways and is determined to be a better father and man.

Liam’s eye roll, along with the audience’s similar reaction shot, is based on his belief that Hope remains naive to Thomas’ games. But something other than manipulation is afoot.

Steffy is right. Hope is attracted to Thomas. He hopes to build off that base, allowing Hope to pursue him. Liam is not prepared for that twist on B&B.
