Some fans have to wonder if Hope has a tumor. She can’t control her attraction to Thomas. Hope mentioned how she’s never felt this way about a man before.

She also wonders if there’s something wrong with her. She destroyed her marriage to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) because of her feelings for Thomas.

This speculation was brought up on the B&B forums on Soap Central. Most fans have a feeling that she doesn’t have a tumor.

The storyline isn’t building up to a secret health problem. Hope always felt that she had to live up to the type of person others wanted her to be.

After all, Hope is the byproduct of Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), both of which made mistakes over the years.

Throughout this storyline, they played up the Brooke storyline. On the Friday, July 14th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope mentioned Brooke’s past. She told her mom that she of all people should understand.

B&B Spoilers: Hope Logan’s Character Changes

During that same broadcast, B&B fans noticed a difference in Hope’s personality. She stood up to her mom at that moment. She also didn’t appreciate being bossed around by her.

On another thread on the Soap Central forums, some had to wonder if Hope is written out of character or if it’s part of her character development.

“If you think this is out of character, you should rewatch, the Hope/Wyatt era,” one fan wrote. “I honestly felt like that was growth and when she was recast she was reversed,” another noted.

“She’s written as a gray character with shades, she isn’t perfect, that’s how characters are often written in prime-time series, I like that kind of writing,” a third chimed in.

The Bold and the Beautiful fans suggested that the characters need to change. They can’t stay the same all the time. Hope is just following her heart and has expressed her heart about ending her marriage. However, she feels that she deserves better.
