Thomas has never wanted anything more than to be with Hope. However, Thomas wants to play for keeps, not just a tryst here and there. Thomas also knows how much Hope loves Liam. Thomas may provide Hope with a distraction but in reality, he doesn’t feel he could ever have Hope all to himself. Thomas knows that Hope isn’t serious about getting into a relationship with him and he won’t go there.

Thomas doesn’t want to ruin the friendship and working relationship that he and Hope have. Therefore, if Hope does approach Thomas, he is likely to shoot down that idea no matter how much he wants to be with Hope. Hope is likely to be mortified that she has made a fool of herself but may even thank Thomas in the end.
