The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) offered a solution that would have likely helped to avoid drama. So, why did Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) refuse to take it?

Sometimes viewers see an inevitable conflict being created. To see Liam reject Hope’s offer that he joins her in Rome, Italy, made no sense.

Why would Liam not want to go to Rome with Hope? He would take control of the situation by being there with her which would be much better than developing an ulcer in Los Angeles, California.

Liam told Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) that he can not stomach seeing Hope and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) on the runway at the fashion show. The sight of them receiving accolades would apparently make him physically sick.

Holding a juvenile attitude is part of the problem. One of the reveals in this storyline is that Liam has not matured. He continues to hold Hope to an idealized standard that no woman is capable of living up to.

Rejecting Hope’s simple solution to join her in Rome was not normal. It seemed to underscore Liam’s inability to maintain a stable marriage.

B&B Spoilers – Steffy Forrester Finnegan Understands

Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) tried to warn Hope and Liam. She flat-out told Noelle’s character to get herself under control.

Hope, in a similar fashion to Liam, rejected Steffy’s assertions. While doing so publicly is understandable, Hope’s inability to control her thoughts about Thomas makes fans wonder how deep her love for Liam was or is.

Liam created repeated tension for Steffy when they were most recently together. Eventually, Steffy was compelled to tell Liam to leave her, return to Hope, and marry her. Hope’s acceptance of his return under those conditions was questionable and arguably led to today’s problems.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Spencer Retains Control For The Moment

If Hope wants nothing to happen with Thomas, then it will not. But viewers are given regular access to her inner thoughts.

Hope’s switch from Team Liam to Team Thomas was surprising. Fans suspended disbelief to push that part of the plot. All who understand daytime waited to see how far this storyline would go.

However, the TPTB can create a believable break from Liam and coupling with Thomas starting in Rome on B&B.
