Imagine a different scenario where Liam was not talked into going to Rome or was not flown to Rome by his father. Modern technology makes it possible that Liam could have seen the kiss in real-time through a video call with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

The above is a deep stretch. But with the right positioning, Liam could have seen a background image as this is daytime.

Assuming Hope and Thomas would have kissed each other with Steffy somewhere nearby is rather preposterous. But so was Liam just so happening to visually locate his wife at the exact moment she chose to twice kiss Thomas.

Liam did spot them, and the plot was forward to a coming confrontation.

B&B Spoilers – No Explanation Will Suffice

Hope will be shocked if she is confronted by her husband about what he saw. That assumes her conscience will not lead to a confession.

If Hope remains silent, Liam will either demand an immediate explanation or he will wait for her to make an admission.

No matter how it happens, whatever Hope explains will not suffice. She can not offer anything that will heal the emotional wound Liam suffered. Forgiveness will be the only path forward.

There is no doubt that Hope will react strongly whenever and however the truth is revealed. She did not set out to hurt Liam, with Rome serving as the realization of the fantasy world she recently entered.

The fate of their marriage will depend upon how Liam handles this major problem and how Hope responds to it. Liam is the aggrieved party. So, he will set the tone at the start.

However, Hope’s feelings shifted since Thomas demonstrated the ability to be a better man. So, it could be that her drift away from Liam to Thomas continues and that Atkinson’s character will be Hope’s destiny on B&B.
