In B & B’s April 12 episode, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) talked to Hope about how proud she was she’s never had tabloid-type scandals. Hope always has conducted her life in a way that makes her parents proud.

However, current storylines seem to be moving Hope away from being the innocent ingénue type and testing her out as a sometimes bad girl.

For instance, Hope may have been making love to her husband Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) but she was fantasizing he was Thomas. And a recent tumble from a riser into Thomas with them falling on a couch seemed to start it-what if someone had shot a photo of that?

Brooke had very honestly brought up her many men, and that she’d waffled man to man more times than Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) did between her and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen).

She also told Hope she was proud and grateful that she didn’t have that problem, having been for the most part a one man woman-at least one man at a time.

It seems like an odd thing to say to one’s daughter, that part about not making the tabloids-if something like a photo of her fall hit them, it could ruin business.

Something like that, salacious and sordid about the owner and designer of the ethical and pure brand “Hope For The Future” could make it crash and burn. If Liam misunderstood and misconstrued what he walked in on, what would the public say?

Recently, on B & B’s sister soap “The Young and The Restless” a gossip columnist named Leanna Love had come to a bicentennial celebration looking for a salacious scoop.

One particular individual she’d tried interviewing had been a big time con man in LA, and knows the Newmans and The Abbotts have worked with Forrester Creations in the past.

What if Leanna came to LA, looking for the scandal she couldn’t write about in Genoa City, or someone like Leanna?

That’s all that Hope and Thomas would need, some scandal seeker like Leanna Love to descend on them. That kind of person is like a poisonous paparazzi, taking pictures and magnifying half-truths for profit!
