Hope was surprised when Finn volunteered his take on her interest in Thomas. Telling Hope she was better than him was a slam. But she knows how he feels about Liam as well.

Steffy is away until the Sheila situation is addressed in a manner that Wood’s character finds acceptable. She will not return home until Finn proves that he got the message and delivers it to Sheila in some permanent form.

Hope is likely to believe that Sheila is a threat to her father’s safety and freedom. So, Hope seems inclined to help Finn deal with the threat his birth mother represents.

Liam recently admitted to Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that he never stopped loving Steffy. He told her that as well before she left town.

Viewers could assume that the link between Deacon and Sheila will enable Finn and Hope to work together for their common interests.

That provides potential for romantic feelings to develop, despite Hope’s interest in Thomas. And fans can only imagine how Steffy would react when learning about that.

Steffy’s return will happen after Wood’s maternity leave ends. By that time, Liam and Hope will likely not be reconciled, leaving him to make a play for Steffy. That would create a romantic rectangle on B&B.
