McCook’s character is in serious physical decline, yet his condition has been diagnosed and he was given six months. So, there is time to address his condition despite and push for a miracle cure.

As was true with Donna, RJ, Luna, and then Katie Logan (Heather Tom), news of Eric’s fragile state will put all who care about him into a state of panic.

The Forrester family, including those who work for FC, and whoever among his friends learn the truth, will advance to where those in the know have been nervously waiting.

Viewers are not clued into the details of Eric’s condition. That intentional plot device leaves a wide-open space for resolution and can be considered a hopeful sign that McCook will be part of the cast indefinitely.

Those on both sides of the screen want to see the co-founder of FC and B&B’s leading man live on B&B.
